Dr. Piedimonte received William S Kroger Award of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis for best publication in 2015 and Young Against Pain award in 2017. He published more than 20 publications. Dr. Piedimonte research interests lie in the neural correlates of placebo and nocebo effects in fatigue and pain. He focused on electrophysiological studies both on healthy participants as well as specific patients such as patients with Parkinson's disease. His secondary interest of his research is body representation and motor control, focusing on bimanual movements and somatosensory perception in patients with anosognosia for hemiplegia and patients with body representation disorders.
