Palpebral hidrocystomas are benign tumors originate from eccrine or apocrine sweat glands and often occur on the face and the eyelids. It appears as single or multiple cystic lesion. Their histogenesis is still uncertain. Here in we report a case of a 54-year-old women presenting with translucent nodule in the external canthus of the left eye.
A 54-year-old woman presented to our dermatology department with a history of small papule which had been present for several years.
Physical examination showed a small, translucent, soft, cystic papule measuring 3 mm × 3 mm on the left upper eyelid (Figure 1). There were no similar lesions on his body and no ophthalmological involvement.
Based on clinical finding, the diagnosis of solitary eccrine hidrocystoma was given. Surgical excision was made with no recidive after 6 months of follow up.
