Paravalvular leak (PVL) driven intravascular hemolysis (IVH) is a recognized complication of surgical aortic valve replacement. This has been described less following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAV). We present a case of a patient with severe life-threatening hemolytic anemia following TAV, requiring multiple blood transfusions, and emergent TAV-in-TAV procedure....

Radiotherapy is a treatment of carcinogenic tumors using ionising radiation and the improvement of radiotherapy techniques has been conducted to protection of healthy tissues. Recent implementations have employed static fields with small dimensions. The interests for this work were small fields, used in modern techniques such as Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRS) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). These fields have special characteristics that refer to the non-establishment of t...

The presence of autonomic symptoms in migraine headaches may predict lack of response to CGRP-MABs. This study is limited by the small sample size. However, it is biologically plausible that presence of autonomic features is predictive of a decreased response to CGRP MABs as migraine patients with autonomic symptoms have higher levels of VIP correlated to this, and not CGRP(3). Our study raises the possibility that migraines with autonomic features may be at least in part VIP driven. ...
