Though long considered to be ectopic breast tissue representing the caudal remnants of the milk ridges, anogenital mammary-like glands are nowadays believed to represent a normal constituent of the anogenital area. Lesions involving these glands are histologically similar to their mammary counterparts and can develop the same benign and malignant tumors as the normally located breast. Because of their infrequent presentation, they represent a challenge for physicians....

Penile Fracture: Report of Eight Cases and Review of Literatures Reported in China
Xuelu Zhou and Shangjun Zhou
Article Type: Research Article | First Published: August 29, 2018
In 113 publications 984 cases (including our eight cases) were retrieved. An annual incidence in China has been estimated between 0.002/million and 0.2/million male populations. The commonest causes were coitus and masturbation. Clinical features were the classical triad of "cracking" sound, immediate detumescence and pain. Swelling, ecchymosis and deformity were present in the majority of patients. Diagnosis was made mainly on clinical grounds; ultrasonography can be very helpful in equivocal c...

Myofascial Pain Dysfunction (MPD) is a regional muscular pain characterized by the presence of trigger points (TrPs), which are painful points cause referred pain when stimulated. There are many treatment modalities for MPD. However, no treatment has proved its superiority over the others yet. To figure out what is the most effective treatment in relieving pain in patients with myofascial pain dysfunction (MPD) among local anesthesia, botox and trigger point dry needling....

Hyperhomocysteinemia: How Does it Affect the Development of Cardiovascular Disease?
Lopes Cardoso I
Article Type: Review Article | First Published: August 27, 2018
Homocysteine is an amino acid with an SH group, metabolised by the remethylation and transsulfuration pathways. Several genetic and environmental factors (like deficient nutrition status, systemic disease or consumption of certain drugs), can lead to changes in the levels of plasma homocysteine. Nowadays, hyperhomocysteinemia is considered an important and independent risk factor for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease....

Optimal Paradigms for Measuring Peak Serum Relaxin in Eumenorrheic, Active Females
Ellen Casey, Travis Anderson, Laurie Wideman, Frances F Shofer and Sandra J Shultz
Article Type: Original Research | First Published: August 25, 2018
Sex disparity in anterior cruciate ligament injury is multifactorial. Sex hormones, such as relaxin, may play a role in the increased risk of injury in female athletes. In order to fully investigate this relationship, optimal strategies for capturing serum relaxin concentration across the menstrual cycle must be determined. The aim of this study was to describe the variability in the timing and magnitude of relaxin concentration changes across the menstrual cycle. ...

Article Type: Research Article | First Published: August 25, 2018
Abelmoschus esculentus is widely cultivated and consumed across the globe for its nutritional and medicinal purpose. In spite of the growing demand, its cultivation is massively affected by various insects, fungi, nematodes and viruses. Due to lack of genomic and limited transcriptomic resources, genetic manipulation studies concerning the crop improvement against various environmental factors is scarce for this crop. Thereby, the present study aims to develop high quality transcriptome of A. es...
