EBMT Reccomendation

Recipient:

· COVID-19 Diagnosis:

o High risk disease : HCT should be postponed until the patient is asymptomatic and shows three repeat viral PCR negative results at least one week apart.

o Low risk disease : It is recommended to postpone HCT for three months

· Respiratory Tract Infection

o Test for respiratory viruses by multiplex PCR and depending on which virus is detected, delaying HCT should be considered

· Close contact with confirmed COVID-19

o Any transplant procedure should be delayed until at least 14 and preferably 21 days from last contact

o Strict monitoring for the presence of COVID-19 using PCR

· All HCT recipients should refrain from unnecessary travel to areas designated as high risk by the WHO
